Disney just released a couple of weeks ago that there is a free dining package offered in the month of September. If you have never been to Disney, now is the time to do so. Free Dining is such a wonderful option. Book a vacation package at a Moderate Resort and receive their Free Basic Disney Dining Plan. The Disney Basic Dining Plan entitles you to 1 table service meal, 1 quick service a day and a snack, for each night of stay at your Walt Disney World Resort. You also have the option of staying at a Value Resort, however you will receive the Free Quick Service Dining Plan. If you haven't stayed at a moderate resort, now is a good time to try one out. In the past, my family and I were traveling to Disney and staying at our favorite Pop Century Resort. Pop Century is a cute value resort that offers loads of fun and a nice located dining area. Approximately 5 months prior to our arrival the free dining became available. We had our travel agent Kim from US Tours, run the price difference. We could stay at a nicer hotel and a better meal plan during the free dining offer and STILL SAVE MONEY. Yes I said WE STILL SAVED ABOUT $1,000. We decided to try out the Port Orleans French Quarter. This moderate resort not only offers parties in the pool, they offer the beauty of a big/small resort. When I say big/small, I mean big ammenties without the long walks back to your room. We instantly fell in love with POFQ and have stayed there our last 3 trips. Another beautiful thing about free dining is that with the free dining option you can still enjoy those characters meals without wasting the food credits. Opting for the moderate resort and the basic dining plan allows you to enjoy a meal with any of your favorite characters. Have you had breakfast with the princesses at the Akerhaus, no, well join them and get your complimentary family photo with Belle. Have you dined in the Magic Kingdom and had dinner with the Beast at the brand new "Be Our Guest Restuarant"? No, well go ahead and book your character meal immediately upon booking your travel, because both of these experiences are only 1 table service credit. Dining at "Be Our Guest" remember to book a dinner after 5 if you want to dine in the West Wing and watch the Magic unfold at the clock strikes 12 and the enchanted rose takes action.
